Ethnic costumes: KHƠ MÚ ETHNIC GROUP
In terms of clothing, both genders of the Khơ Mú people dress similarly to the Thái and Kinh people. The attire of Khơ Mú men is simple and modest, made from indigo-dyed cotton fabric. On festivals, Vietnam Lunar Year, and weddings, they often wear black “Áo dài” and a beret for the elderly, or a short black buttoned shirt for the younger men. Traditional costumes are one of the distinctive cultural features that the Khơ Mú people are preserving and promoting.
