CHARACTERISTIC DESCRIPTION

The Lào men’s traditional costumes includes an indigo or white headscarf, a shirt made of patterned fabric with a round neck, and an open front featuring a small pocket on the left chest and two larger pockets below the front flaps. The wide-legged shorts, without drawstrings, are typically crafted from indigo or “thời” fabric and are used with an external belt,... Some Lào men wear bracelets, rings, and gold toothcaps. Some adhere to the tradition of getting tattoos on their wrists, depicting the Buddhist “vạn'” symbol, or tattoos of images like the Thuồng Luồng, snakes, or lucky grass on their thighs.
